For the 5th year in a row, MCRC has hosted a table at the
Minneapolis May Day Festival in Powderhorn Park. The day started out
chilly, but quickly warmed up in the May sunshine. There was lots of
activity at our booth as we discussed conservatism with Festival goers,
gave away flowers, and just generally enjoyed interacting with the crowds!

February 16, 2013
MCRC called a convention of precinct chairs to elect ward officers
across the city in February 2013. We're happy to report that nine wards
now have new leadership. Congratulations to all the new ward chairs!

Even though May Day was postponed a week due to torrential
rains, MCRC returned to this largest of Minneapolis festivals to promote
sanity in city government!

MCRC headquarters were made wonderfully festive for our
annual Christmas/Holiday party this
year. The 50 or so guests enjoyed delicious chili, all the sides, dessert
goodies, beverages, and lots of lively conversation!

Continuing an MCRC tradition, we hosted the MNGOP booth at the Minnesota
State Fair again this year. There was lots of activity, up-beat political
talk, and interaction with Fair visitors!

On a bitter cold and windy day with snow in
the air, MCRC members bravely set up our booth and engaged the May Day
Festival attendees. We gave out candy and flowers and had many political
discussions in another successful neighborhood event!

Even though the snow storm of the century
(so far!) caused a week's delay in the Third Annual MCRC Christmas/Holiday
party everyone had a great time listening to live music, enjoying many
delicacies and a variety of beverages,
and collecting their door prizes. It was a great way to begin the holiday
season!

MCRC staffed the MNGOP booth at the
State Fair on Sunday, September 5th this year. The crowds were huge and
enthusiastic! What a kick off for the November elections!!

Once again MCRC hosted a booth at the
Pride Festival in Loring Park in
Minneapolis. Republican candidates marched in the parade, handed out
lit at the CD5/MCRC table, and interacted with attendees to one of the
largest gatherings in the city! Many thanks to

marched in parade and our fearless leader, Nik Ludwig, paddled
valiantly in the flotilla making sure the sun arrived safely on the
other shore!
