Message from Ward Chair Andy Rank
 Ward 7 of Minneapolis encompasses the
downtown area, which is the heart of Minneapolis, as well as parts
of the Bryn-Mawr, Kenwood, Lowry Hill, and Cedar-Isles-Dean
neighborhoods.
The citizens in Ward 7 are among the most heavily
taxed in the state, as much of the ward is subject to additional
"downtown" sales taxes. This is an increasing concern for those of
us living and working in and around downtown Minneapolis, as we
spend most of our income patronizing Ward 7 businesses.
Republicans
in Ward 7 would like to make our residents more aware of these
burdensome taxes, as well as other big government city policies. We
would like to work toward electing fiscally conservative residents
to city offices, so that these tax-and-spend agendas can be opposed.
