Message from Ward Chair Joel Quinnell
Greetings, my name is Joel Quinnell. I have been a Ward 11 resident
over 10 years now and I tell my friends that I live in "Liberalapolis."
Minneapolis is failing its citizens in many areas and reform is
sorely needed.
On November 3rd, the Minneapolis Republicans offered a nearly full
slate of municipal candidates for mayor, 10 of 13 city council seats,
Board of Estimate and Taxation, and Park Board at-large. It's been 40
years or more since Republicans ran this many candidates in the city
and it's only the beginning of taking this city back from the liberal
political class that have run Minneapolis into debt and squeezed
small businesses and homeowners out with skyrocketing taxes.
My goals as Ward 11 Chair are to build up the MCRC organization in
our ward, working closely with our precinct
chairs to establish a well organized and enthusiastic grass roots
effort to address the issues that matter to Ward 11 residents. The
GOP caucuses will be held early in 2010 and they are your opportunity
to become a precinct leader in your own neighborhood and make your
ideas for less government, lower taxes, and less "nanny state"
politics, happen on the block where you live!
I want and need feedback from you, the residents of Ward 11, to motivate and mobilize our neighborhoods to
take action and bring some desperately needed balance of thought to
City Hall! Please contact me at
